Estimate Motor Parameters by Using Motor Control Blockset Parameter Estimation Tool

2 views (last 30 days)
I'd like to try out the example (https://www.mathworks.com/help/mcb/gs/estimate-motor-parameters.html) and the others in the sequence of four vidoes using:
  • LAUNCHXL-F28379D controller
  • BOOSTXL-DRV8305 inverter
Before I purchase the Motor Control Blockset and these boards, I wanted to know if I need:
  • Embedded Coder®
  • Embedded Coder Support Package for Texas Instruments C2000™ Processors
to execute this example. I searched the community but I was unable to find the answer. I need to get the parameters for my motor so I can simulate a control loop. Is there another way to get these parameters?
Thanks,
Ajit

Hi Ajit,
please find some insights.
Estimate motor parameters demo doesn’t support simulation.
Along with Motor Control Blockset,
Embedded Coder®
Embedded Coder Support Package for Texas Instruments C2000™ Processors
are required to deploy the demo/examples to the target.
Please feel free to look at other example for instance FOC example.
For Simulation, only Motor Control Blockset is sufficient and additionally Embedded Coder product is needed for Code Generation and Deployment.

Thanks. I found related examples for FOC of a BLDC motor with sensor feedback and could run the simulation with the Motor Control Blockset. Thanks.
