Matlab App Designer : An alternative to excel data aquisition

1 view (last 30 days)
Hi ,
I'm currently working on an application which has to perform various calculations which use data from a pre-populated excel spreadsheet:
data=readtable("DATA.xlsx","range","A1:Z99",'PreserveVariableNames',true);
Is there a way to do this within the application instead of having to use a seperate spreadsheet ? I'd prefer the final product not to rely on another file like this.
Best,
Lewis I.

I think it's important to clarify that the information stored in the spreadsheet is not shown on the app interface, I'd like it to be inaccessible on the GUI.

Hi Lewis,
I think that you will have to create a P-file that contains the data, does the calculations and returns the results.
Check here about P-file.
Note: If security is of the highest importance, you should consider this answer.
