How to add a Carriage Return or Newline to Simulink a block name?

6 views (last 30 days)
I have a very long block name in Simulink that I would like to separate into multiple lines. When I hit enter, it exits the text editor for the block name. How do I make some of the text go to a new line?

You can add a new line to a block name using Shift + Enter in Windows, Mac, and Linux OS. Simply using Enter in Windows or Mac will only exit the block name text editor and confirm the name as is. This is a common keyboard shortcut and is the difference between a hard line break (Enter) and a soft line break (Shift + Enter).
