3D FEM Geometry import
Show older comments
Hi, Got a little problem, Am working on FEM for a Milling tool. But as we know that the geometry of the tool is too complex. Any idea how to import or get the node values for a complex, twisted 3D geometry.

If you have the geometry in STEP or IGES CAD formats (or STL/OBJ which are less accurate) you can import and the geometry to MATLAB and perform FEA analysis using the FEATool Multiphysics toolbox

If you have a FEM model from ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, ... you can import results with www.sdtools.com/femlink.html
