Quick Start Guide - Install MATLAB

This guide is meant as a Quick Start guide for installing MATLAB with an Individual license on a computer with an internet connection. For the full documentation on installing MATLAB, please see the full documentation on installing products here. Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for installing MATLAB and that your MathWorks account is linked to a license using the below articles:

How do I link my MathWorks Account to a license in the License Center?
To start installing MATLAB, you will need a MathWorks account that is linked to a license. You can sign in to your MathWorks account by going to MathWorks.com and clicking the profile icon in the top right. If you do not have an account, select "No account? Create one!".
Click on your license number on the My Account page. You will be brought to a page under the tab "Manage Products." Click on the blue button that says "Download". You will see the below webpage:
Download the MathWorks Product Installer for your chosen release and operating system.
Once the MathWorks Product Installer is done downloading, launch it.
Windows - Double-click the downloaded executable - matlab_RXXXXx_win64.exe.
Mac - Double-click downloaded matlab_RXXXXx_maci64.dmg. Double-click InstallForMacOSX.app once expanded.
Linux - Extract matlab_RXXXXx_glnxa64.zip to a directory. cd to that directory and run ./install.
When the installer opens, follow the prompting and click "Next" to continue to the next page:
a. Sign in to your MathWorks account
b. Accept the licensing agreement
c. Select your license number and click "Next" OR Enter an Activation key and click "Next".
d. Confirm your computer, user, and install directory. (Leave as default if unsure).
e. Select any products you would like to install.
f. Fill out installation preferences.
e. Begin Installation.
Once installation is finished, you can launch MATLAB.
