Why isn't the editor remembering my tile layout

1 view (last 30 days)
I just installed Matlab 2013b. When I started this installation of Matlab for the first time, I opened a couple of .m files, and changed my tiles layout (See View tab in editor window, left end of ribbon) to "Left/Right", and placed one .m file on the left tile and another one on the right tile. Then, I exited Matlab and restarted it. When the editor window comes up, it remembers which .m files I had opened, but it doesn't remember my tiles layout, so it comes back up in "single" mode. I have not experienced this in previous installations. This is rather annoying, and I was wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and knows how to fix it. Thanks.

I've been having the same issues, also for the first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sorry you're having trouble, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'm able to reproduce this in 13b. If your organization is subscribed to SMS you can download the 14a prerelease which you might like.

Doesn't help me. Is there a fix for 13b? Is the cause known? My co-worker also had 13b and doesn't experience this problem, so there must be some context with a particular installation that gives rise to this problem.
