Some people want to be able to decide for themselves how many spaces a TAB has, but others (like me) want someone to decide for them. Most importantly, of course, I'd like to be able to delete a TAB with a single keystroke as well, rather than depending on how many spaces are in it.

It's been a problem since long before 2016 when Windoze took over the tab key to move between fields!
Now with every different app interpreting tabs differently (Talking to you Google) the best you can do is convert to spaces.
At least let me easily choose how many spaces I want!
