A tutorial chapter in our textbook provides a complete spacecraft design and includes all of the MATLAB code needed to replicate the results. All of the functions and scripts in this chapter are included in this app.
  • Compare point mass and spherical harmonic gravity models
  • Compute the downlink power on the ground from the spacecraft in orbit
  • Numerically simulate a geostationary satellite orbit
  • Perform a 6 dof simulation of satellite attitude and orbit with thermal, power, and communication subsystems; includes a discrete proportional derivative attitude controller
  • Temperature, force and power on solar panels due to solar flux
