This is a Matlab translation of the well known 'mucal' elemental x-ray properties calculation routines written by Pathikrit Bandyopadhyay in Fortran and ported to C by Boyan Boyanov. More information on the original programs can be found on the Centre for Synchrotron Radiation Research and Instrumentation site here:

http://www.csrri.iit.edu/mucal.html

The interface to the Matlab version of the basic routines is through a GUI called XRayCalc.

The interface was designed for Users at the Imaging and Medical Beam line at the Australian Synchrotron, hence the title. It allows a user to select an element from the left hand scrolling text box, and type an x-ray energy into the edit box in the centre of the figure. The Matlab mucal routine is then called to populate the data in the text boxes.

It has not yet been extensively tested, so consider this version as a beta release with a potential for some bugs to emerge. If any are found I would appreciate comments describing them being posted here.
