Description
MOTEON offers customized motor control software for permanent magnet synchronous (PMSM) and brushless (BLDC) motors for a wide range of microcontrollers. MOTEON uses a holistic model-based approach and code generation to provide advanced motor control features with highly performant start-up behavior, high- or low-load performance, and low-speed control.
This includes the development and integration of:
- Framework, diagnosis, and communication (LIN, CAN, Ethernet, UART)
- Peripheral driver libraries (PDL) or low-level drivers (LLD)
We are specialized in motor control solutions for Arm® Cortex®-M0/M3/M4/M7, such as MOTIX™ MCU (TLE987x/TLE989x/TLE99x), XMC™ 1000/4000/7000, as well as Infineon TRAVEO™ and PSOC™ Control Arm Cortex-M33 MCU.
MOTEON provides advanced algorithms for the highest system performance. Our patented frequency wobbling can improve the EMC performance of a system. The current waveform analysis (CWA) enables a closed-loop start-up against an unknown load and low-speed sensorless field-oriented control (FOC) even in ambitious applications (oil pumps, for example). The use of AI in the form of neural networks (NN) allows us to train complex algorithms, enabling load prediction and robust control for applications with high dynamics, such as compressors.
We simulate the behavior of the system, signal processing, and associated motor control in MATLAB and Simulink to validate performance upfront, prevent design flaws, and generate the final code.
End users are the developers of mechatronic solutions who rely on electric motor control.
We enable them to integrate our embedded software into their mechatronic system, relieving their R&D organization and ensuring fast solutions. Classical c-code components for diagnosis, communication, and hardware access layers integrate flexibly with generated digital signal processing code. These customers include automotive suppliers for auxiliary units, like pumps, blowers, fans, compressors, and valves. All kinds of industrial motion control systems can use this service to expedite development and achieve higher quality and performance.
We have established a Simulink control model library and a plant model library. The combination allows for full system modeling. With this base, we apply automated code generation for resource-limited targets and use xIL techniques for the implementation and testing of mechatronic systems, mainly for the automotive industry.
