Senior Application Engineer - Technical Computing

Responsibilities

MathWorks Application Engineers function as Technical Liaisons and work directly with our Regional Sales Teams, responsibilities include:

  • Participating as a technical/product/workflow expert in sales & services activities with MathWorks customers.
  • Partnering with Mathworks Sales, Marketing, and Field support teams; analysing & sharing new opportunities, customer feedback, and market trend data
  • Understanding customer requirements and engineering challenges, and demonstrating scalable and cost-efficient technical computing solutions
  • Developing networks with MathWorks Product Development teams, sharing learned experiences, and propose feedback for enhancements or features in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Attending regional research and industry events and presenting MATLAB & Simulink capabilities and user stories

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Fluent English and German (CEFR level C1) are both required
  • Experience with modern software engineering practices for large-scale technical computing systems including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration
  • Commercial customer facing, pre-sales, solution/systems engineering experience is key
  • Willingness to travel max. 10%
