Associate Application Support Engineer - New Graduate

Job Summary

As an Associate Application Support Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the success of our customers who use MATLAB and other MathWorks products. You will mainly provide technical support to customers engaged in Model-Based Design (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink. Your responsibilities will include responding to a wide range of customer inquiries and issues, explaining product usage, and helping to solve technical problems. By sharing feedback from customers with our development team, you will also contribute to improving the quality of our products. This position will allow you to develop not only your technical skills but also your communication and problem-solving abilities, making it an excellent starting point for your career at MathWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for customers using MathWorks products (mainly MATLAB/Simulink)
  • Propose solutions to challenges faced by customers in embedded control system development
  • Clearly explain product usage and demonstrate basic examples as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical issues involving multiple products
  • Share customer needs and feedback with the development team to help improve our products
  • Create FAQs and technical articles to support knowledge sharing within and outside the company

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is required.

Additional Qualifications

Expected to graduate from a university or graduate school by March 2026 (Engineering or Science major is preferable)

Strong motivation to learn new technologies and skills

Excellent communication skills in Japanese (both verbal and written)

English skills sufficient for reading technical documentation and writing emails

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Interest in control algorithm design or embedded software development
  • Experience with automatic code generation or verification and validation tools
  • Knowledge of other MathWorks products
