Why do I receive the error "Attempt to execute SCRIPT sisotool as a function"

I receive the error:

Most likely is you tried to execute a line calling sisotool with a return value...altho we can't see your terminal from here to know exactly what code sequence you did execute to generate the error...attach that code and the error message all in context.

rehash toolboxcache
might solve the problem. If not then command
which -all sisotool
Unless you are using a relatively old release you should see only one entry that is something like
toolbox/control/ctrlobsolete/sisotool.m
If you see multiple entries then the first one might be interfering with the others.
