Student Competition: Physical Modeling Training, Part 7: Building Components

From the series: Student Competition: Physical Modeling Training

There are several ways to create assembly components in SimMechanics™.  We'll show you how to create simple geometries, extruded and revolved solids, and compound bodies. The components of a suspension system are used as an example.

Here, you'll learn how to build individual components of an assembly. Then in Student Competition - Physical Modeling Training, Part 8: Building Mechanical Assemblies, Section 1 you’ll use the components created here to build a mechanical assembly.

Additional Resources:

  • Modeling Rigid Bodies
  • SimMechanics Webinars: application, case studies
  • SimMechanics Key Features
  • SimMechanics Documentation
  • SimMechanics Built-in Demos
