Asawari Samant, MathWorks
Pharmaceutical research is moving towards mechanism-based drug discovery, using mechanistic or semi-mechanistic models of drug action and efficiency to extend traditional pharmacokinetic (PK) modeling techniques. These mechanism-based models are more suitable for prediction and extrapolation than pure empirical approaches. In this webinar, learn how to use SimBiology and MATLAB to combine compartmental pharmacokinetic models with mechanistic models of drug efficacy.
Using case-studies from literature, we demonstrate:
We also highlight new features in SimBiology 2012b including:
Previous knowledge of MATLAB or SimBiology is not required for this webinar.
