Design Industrial Robot Applications from Perception to Motion
Overview
Developing industrial robotics require knowledge and experience in many engineering domains, including mechanical design, perception, decision making, control design, and embedded systems. This webinar discusses a complete industrial robotics workflow from perception to motion. We will walk through the development of a pick-and-place robot manipulator application. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Performing scalable physics simulation
- Designing perception algorithm using computer vision and deep learning
- Setting up co-simulation with sensor and environment models
- Using motion planning with obstacle avoidance
- Using supervisory logic and control using state machine
- Achieving advanced control via reinforcement learning
- Connecting hardware through ROS network and deployment
Highlights
Through a pick-and-place robot manipulator application, we will cover:
- Creating custom robot designs and importing robot models from CAD tools
- Developing autonomous robotics algorithm
- Simulation-based testing and validation
- Deployment
